MGLVA High School Student Creative Works
Middle School and High School Spring Art Show
On Wednesday, May 15, 2019, some of our very talented middle school and high school students showcased their art work at the Spring Art Show. This virtual event allowed visitors to enjoy and comment on the digital art, hand-drawn art, and photography from each artist. Great job to all, and special thanks to Mrs. Vermaire, Mrs. Spieker, and Mr. Nuttal for organizing the event!

Title: The Red Fort Artist's Note:
Using the Unity 3D gaming engine, (Which you can find here if this interests you: https://unity3d.com/) Lua scripting language, and C++ code, I was able to create this virtual, 3D, Colonial/Napoleonic era recreation of The Mughal Empire's Red Fort. Located in present day, New Delhi, India, this fort housed, and protected The Mughal emperor for more than two centuries! To this day, it is home to several different museums, all dedicated to displaying relics of Colonial Asia. IMPORTANT: Please keep in mind this is a Colonial Era representation of the fort. That being said, just like the recreation suggests, it looked a lot more primitive than the modern day photo. Artist: Amber Petrimoulx

Rocks by Rachael Anderson
Writer's Notes: My work of art is a scene that I wrote one day. It is not a short story and could be part of a bigger narrative, but works fine as a standalone piece. It is titled Rocks and tells of the encounter of two teenagers at a pond where they stand and throw rocks.
